The Reef Check EcoDiver program allows anyone with an interest in the ocean -- from kids to adults – to learn more about tropical coral reefs. Reef Check combine: education with action to give volunteers a unique experience while taking an active role in conserving the world’s reefs. The EcoDiver program allows participants the rare opportunity to work with teams of scientists throughout the world to combat the crises affecting our reefs today. The world’s reefs are changing fast, and it is up to us to ensure that reefs are around for future generations.

Coral Point Diving with the help of PADI instructor Gianluca Lamberti has developed a PADI approved ‘CoralWatch Diver Distinctive Specialty’ specialty in conjunction with Project AWARE, so you can teach, dive and certify your students in coral monitoring and data collection. Coral Point Diving is the only Dive Center in Bayahibe with this SPECIAL rating. This Distinctive Specialty course highlights the impact of coral bleaching and provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to identify coral health and record data. The specialty is aimed at divers who like to get recognition for their gained knowledge and skills, as it is not a requirement to do the surveys.

With Marine Biologists on Staff we are continuously combining the teaching of scuba diving with the evaluation, monitoring, protection and education of tropical reef and coastal ecosystems.. and now you have the chance to join our team at Coral Point Diving to do your part for the environment.

Coral Point Diving is the only Dive Center to have a base directly on the Beach of Bayahibe downtown to welcome you in private away from the morning crowds. You will find us inside the famous ‘Barco Bar’ building, at only 5 minutes walk from Hilton Hotel La Romana.

We are also located in the pedestrian area in front of the hotel Viva Dominicus Beach and Palace where we have two booking offices. The first office is called 'Mariposa Tour' and it is located on the left, coming out of Viva Dominicus Palace' gate.
The second office is right in front of Viva Dominicus Beach's gate and it is called 'Bayahibe Caracol Tours'.
