Rescue diver course
This course is the next step in practical dive training after PADI Advanced Open Water certification. In the Rescue course you will learn various techniques used to confidently handle an emergency situation while diving.
This is a comprehensive course with theory in rescue techniques, confined water training and several scenarios to prepare you for almost all diving emergencies. Our professional dive trainers will safely teach you these critical rescue techniques and give you the confidence needed for real life accident management.
Prerequisites
To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must:
Be 12 years or older
Have a PADI Adventure Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)
Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years (Ask your instructor about Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses).
The PADI Rescue Diver course consists of 10 open water training exercises and emphasizes flexibility in adapting the Rescue Diver to personal and environmental conditions. Students in past classes have rated the PADI Rescue Diver course as one of the most important and fun scuba courses they've taken. The PADI Rescue Diver certification is also a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster course.During this course you will develop your current skills as a diver to practice first aid and rescue skills related to diving and learn how to identify and reduce risks and issues before the become problems. You will also practice how to administer oxygen, give CPR, do risk assessments for a dive site and practice actual rescues.
