OUR PADI Instructor Development Programs are synonym of diving innovation and quality training

In the Dominican Republic dive centers and resorts are becoming well established and common. There are roughly 50 established diving facilities on he island, however the Dominican Republic can still be identified as a developing market for the diving industries. 

Coral Point Diving (CP) was set up in 2012 by a group of passionate Diving Instructors who wanted to create a dive training facility which offered amazing dive experiences and educational programs for visitors in the Dominican Republic. CP started as small shack on the beach; a couple of regulators, few BCDs and 10 tanks was the initial set up, however CP has emerged from a small dive center to one, if not the leading, dive center operation in the Dominican Republic in terms of Pro Training and has acquired an outstanding international reputation. 

CP purchased its first dive boat, 'Ada Luz' on the same year of its opening. By 2015 CP had tripled in size and 'Mara' and 'Marcelo' boats joined CP's fleet.

In 2013 CP moved to famous location of 'Barco Bar'. Today we have an in-house Restaurant to satisfy our hungry divers after dives and offer amazing IE parties to our candidates after they succesfully complete their exams to become PADI Instructor.

Behind Coral Point there is the 'touch' of an extremely experienced dive instructor and biologist, Gianluca Lamberti. He has been diving since the early 90’s and has logged more than five thousand of dives in differing environment. Gianluca became Divemaster in the Maldives, travelled the world with some awesome dive trips along the way then sat his Instructor Development Course in 2001 on the beautiful country of Egypt, where he began life as a PADI professional, over the past 14 years, Gianluca has been teaching all levels of diving but now specializes in Professional level courses priding himself on the personal attention and the highest level of quality instruction he delivers to each individual. Gianluca is now a PADI Platinum Course Director.

At Coral Point, we have successfully trained so far hundreds of PADI Scuba Instructors and we are proud to say that our success rate in our IDC is 100%. Instructors we have trained now work around the world. 

Dominican Republic saw Coral Point Diving grow into one of the island’s biggest and most successful Dive Training School, recognized by PADI for its professionalism and success by already in 2016 achieving the recognition PADI CDC (Carrer Development Center). Coral Point Diving numbers are amazing. In 2014 and 2015 CP has been the Dive Resort that trained the highest number of Instructors in the whole Dominican Republic.

Internships programs at CP are also unique. 

Marine conservation has been at the heart of our Coral Point Diving School since it was started over 3 years ago. The New Eco Internship Programs were founded at our dive school to teach divers about coral reef ecology, research, and restoration. We believe that the people most closely connected to the reef should be the ones that care for it.

Throughout the years CP built a reputation as a professional dive center offering superior customer service on the island. We look forward to achieving and celebrating many new success in the near future.
